With Miss Rima<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

AMS attended the Pacific Ballet Academy’s Summer Intensive Course 2010.\u00a0 She was in Level IV (Pre-Intermediate), M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\u00a0 This workshop ran from June 21 to July 16. \u00a0After the intensive course, AMS was able to do the splits and really improved her technique. \u00a0She also had an introduction to\u00a0contemporary\u00a0dance, jazz dance, costume design and ballet history. \u00a0What a great thing to do this summer.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Focus: Technique, Stretching, that’s about it<\/p>\n

Comments: \u00a0I liked Anton’s teaching style.<\/p>\n

June 23 (Wednesday)<\/h3>\n

Teachers: Anton Pankevich, Brianne Ackroyd<\/p>\n

Focus: Technique and Character<\/p>\n

Comments: My feet hurt because I didn’t have character shoes to wear. \u00a0But my dad bought me a pair afterwards.<\/p>\n

Focus:\u00a0Technique, Era of Romantic Ballet and Variations. \u00a0Dance history.<\/p>\n

Comments: I like the romantic era of ballet. \u00a0This style is more my dance style.<\/p>\n

June 25 (Friday)<\/h3>\n

Teachers: Kimberly Saunders (Miss Kim)<\/p>\n

Focus: Ballet Technique and Jazz<\/p>\n

Comments: My feet hurt after dancing Jazz. \u00a0Hmm… not sure about Jazz.<\/p>\n

June 28 (Monday)<\/h3>\n

Teacher: Marion\u00a0Chaeff and Rima Chaeff<\/span><\/p>\n

Focus: Ballet technique, stretching and contemporary ballet.<\/p>\n

Comments: Contemporary dance is a lot like Jazz. \u00a0My feet also hurt after dancing contemporary.<\/p>\n

Comments: After class, went swimming and socializing at the Chaeff’s with teachers and other students. \u00a0Anton Pankevich stopped by for a visit with Chaeff’s.<\/p>\n
