These skills will be useful to students throughout their academic curriculum classes.<\/p>\n<p>MATH POWER-UP<\/p>\n<p>This course is only open to students entering 7th grade Pre-Algebra who need a review of the 6th Grade Mathematics Standards.\u00a0Emphasis is placed on reviewing and reinforcing the basic skills needed for success in future math courses. Students will \u201cfirm up\u201d their\u00a0understanding and knowledge of mathematical concepts and procedures and apply these in solving real world problems. Teaching\u00a0methodologies include direct instruction, small-group and cooperative learning.
