Wow! Suddenly I’m in fourth grade.

So great to see my old friends again. And to meet a bunch of new ones! And my teacher, Ms. Holmes, is awesome.
I have to read 40 chapter books by the end of the year. I will go for an overnight (3 days and 2 nights) to Coloma for California History (Gold Rush). We’re also doing Everyday Math and making Native American Posters.
Amelia fell behind on her required reading notes – 2 packets of 12 reading notes were required. But she was able to catch up in the last three days of the school year by writing 5 additional notes for 5 books. I helped her by creating a plan for completing the assignment. She already had 10 + 9 reading notes = 19, but 24 are required. The plan is 3 books on Monday and 2 books on Tuesday. Plus she will do 24 more over the summer and turn them in to Miss Holmes at the start of the next year.
Amelia’s such a champ! She finished up all her required reading notes tonight – all 24 of them – and will be able to turn in everything tomorrow. Good job Amelia!
Miss Holmes wrote “Good!’ on all the pages of AMS’ reading notes. She turned it all in today. Yeah. Tomorrow is the last day of school.
