SFBS 2008-2009 School Year Second Audition

The second audition for the 2008-2009 school year has been scheduled for September 13, 2008 at 12:00 PM (Saturday).

WHEN: Saturday, September 13, 2008
WHO: Girls and Boys ages 7 ½–10 (by June 30, 2008) with or without previous ballet training.

The ideal candidate is a healthy child with a physique possessing attributes that are generally considered requisite for professional accomplishment in classical ballet: a straight and supple spine, legs that are well turned out from the hip joints, and correctly arched feet. The child should have an ear for music and an instinct for movement. All students are accepted on a trial basis.

WHERE: San Francisco Ballet School, 455 Franklin Street at Fulton (in the Civic Center neighborhood)
TIME: Girls & Boys
Ages 7 1/2 – 10
(with or without previous training)
12:00pm Register
12:30pm Audition class
Applicants will audition in small groups.
WHAT TO WEAR: Girls: Leotard, tights, and ballet slippers.
Boys: T-shirt, tights, and ballet slippers.
If you do not have ballet clothing, please wear a T-shirt, shorts, and socks.
WHAT TO BRING: Proof of applicant’s age: Copy of birth certificate, state-issued ID, or passport.
Passport-sized headshot or small school picture.
There is no fee for this audition.
