I got a brand new bike today. It’s a 15″ Trek Soho S – a single gear commuter bike. It is so sweet!
Here I am on the Stanford campus. It’s so easy to ride…so smooth – and super light! It’ll be really handy for 6th grade.

Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups of sugar
2 lemons
4 oranges
3 cups of milk
3 cups of whipping cream
Directions:
Squeeze juice from fruit. Strain. Mix juice with sugar. Add cream and milk. Mix well. Pour into freezer-safe container and freeze overnight.

The annual music concert for parents at Nixon Elementary School and her last elementary school music concert.

AMS was an MC at the annual talent show. This is the first (and last) time she’ll participate in the school talent show because this is her last year at elementary school.
At 5′ – 2 1/2″, she towers over all the other kids in her grade.
“Betsy Ross” / “Mary Draper” in the center with “Martha Washington”/”Phyllis Wheatley” and “Lydia Darah”/”Mercy Otis Warren” to her left.
This event was a performance by the 5th grade classes to depict the American Revolution. The purpose was to teach attending parents about an important part of American history. The students were organized into groups, including the “Redcoats”, the “White Tories” and the “Blue Rebels”. They were either patriots or “Redcoats”. The “King George” character was part of the the “Blue Rebels” for some reason and it’s known that he was actually with the Imperialists. Somehow it all made sense.
