They formed 3 bands and made 3 music videos:
- “Tik-tok” (Ke$ha) by Anjali, Izzy, Maya & Meshi
- “PokerFace” (Lady Gaga) by Amelia, Matttie & Mia
- “Here Comes The Sun” (The Beatles) by Charulata, Grace & Leila
After some really good takes in the studio, back to the party room for pizza and cake. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to open presents at the Zeum :p
Flashing Back…
The day started with lunch at Samovar of quinoa waffles, sliced persimmon, sliced apples and grapes, chased down with a glass of iced Masala Chai Tea “al fresco” on the terrace.
Then off to SFMOMA to see the Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century photography exhibit.

Then off to the Zeum for the birthday party.

With the party wrapped up, off we went again…this time to meet other friends for an Italian dinner at Buca di Beppo. Again our timing was perfect – as we arrived and got seated, many groups of people gathered at the door trying to get seating for dinner. So lucky we were.
Leisurely dinner… then another quick short walk to the Novellus Theater for… an 8:00 pm Sankai Juku performance. No late seating, no intermission.

Awesome seats – we sat two rows away from the stage. With a packed theater, the audience gave the performers a 15 minute standing ovation at the end. What a day!
