Tuesday October 19 – Friday, October 22, 2010

This 4-day, 3-night interdisciplinary program will allow students to increase their awareness and knowledge of our physical environment and to develop critical thinking skills and responsible actions to understand and properly care for it. The program covers the following areas: science, mathematics, history-social science, visual and performing arts, English language arts, health and physical education. The Santa Cruz coastal mountains provide a setting for diverse studies including creek research, soil digs, plant and animal identification, a night hike, habitat restoration and more. Escondido’s 5^th grade classes have been attending Outdoor Science School since 2006 and have had wonderful experiences.
