This is a Girls Scouts residence sailing camp in the High Sierras.

Residence Camp Description

“Grades 6-9
With the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, spend your days on Kidd Lake. Balance the board, pull up a sail, navigate and experience the rush of windsurfing. Have a blast building crazy rafts and get a chance to paddle around Deer Lake. For some extra excitement, you’ll take a tour of Lake Tahoe aboard the 50-foot sailing yacht Tahoe Cruise.”

"Tie Die"
And She Returns As "Tie Die"

Mt. Hermon Outdoor Science School

Tuesday October 19 – Friday, October 22, 2010

This 4-day, 3-night interdisciplinary program will allow students to increase their awareness and knowledge of our physical environment and to develop critical thinking skills and responsible actions to understand and properly care for it. The program covers the following areas: science, mathematics, history-social science, visual and performing arts, English language arts, health and physical education. The Santa Cruz coastal mountains provide a setting for diverse studies including creek research, soil digs, plant and animal identification, a night hike, habitat restoration and more. Escondido’s 5th grade classes have been attending Outdoor Science School since 2006 and have had wonderful experiences.
